What is Pilates?

Pilates is a method of exercise that is low impact on the body and utilizes stretching, muscular strengthening and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes core strength, postural alignment and muscle balance.

Why do I need Pilates?

Pilates helps strengthen your abdomen, pelvic floor muscles and deep back stabilizers.  It helps to lengthen and strengthen your muscles.  Also there is a mind/body connection to the practice.  It helps you  pull yourself back into your body and becomes aware of how you move in your daily life.

Where is West Seattle Pilates located in the ActiveSpace building?  

We are ground level on the far northeast corner.  The front door faces towards the fence and railroad tracks.

What do I wear?

Comfortable workout clothes that you can move freely in.  No shoes, socks are optional.

How long are lessons?

50 minutes!

Is there parking?

You may park anywhere on Harbor Ave.  Please do not park in the Activspace parking lot.  It is permit only.

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours notice for private lessons and classes.
